What's on your kitchen counter?

In the spirit of randomness (and a slovenly wife who is avoiding housekeeping) answer that question: what is on your kitchen counter? No cheating and straightening up first. List five things that are currently on your counter. Most original, random, or unique wins something yummy from my kitchen: homemade cookies or jelly.

Here's my list:
1. A bag of sugar and a bag of flour which need to go into the appropriate canister but which have instead been sitting on the counter, untouched for at least a week.
2. 3 plants (Gerber daisies from my MOPS engagement, a marigold Kenson planted at library, and some sedum that I need to find a home for)
3. Medicine dispensers for Kenson, even though he hasn't really been taking any medicines
4. A canister of pretzels for snacks
5. A bag of tortilla chips which are unopened and too big to fit into my cupboard

I'm not entirely sure I want to admit this, but it just might win me the random or unique award: Next to the 1) bread machine, 2) bowl of apples/bananas, and 3) nightlight awaiting a new bulb, are, 4)tools for castrating baby calves. What, they're clean.

1. Black paper plates and yellow paperplates along with b & Y silverware and table cloth for Ty's grad open house.

2. Can of cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple to remind me that I need to buy the rest of the ingredients that I forgot to get for that dessert.

3. Car keys and sunglasses.

4. Jessica's purse.

5. Mug rack with a few of our favorite mugs.

1) a birthday cake

2) a pineapple

3) a small box of used cell phones for an adoption fundraiser

4) a bottle of vitamins

5) a box of valentine cards that I found and haven't managed to find their way back to the appropriate locale for 3+ weeks. I think I'm going to go get rid of those right now. Thanks for the motivation to do so!

OK, I think the calf castrating thingy takes the cake, but here goes:

1) 3 molds of my kids teeth we made last week for science
2) My sproute being soaked with bleach water -been meaning to finish that cleaning process for several weeks)
3)Gluten-free cake
4)receipts to go in the budget
5)Packets of disclosure tablets since we are studying teeth (digestive system) so my kids can see how well they are (or aren't) brushing their teeth.
***and I could name more :-)

Alright Kayla!! You caught me totally unorganized :-)

1. One cinnamon roll leftover from dessert (I ate the other 50)

2. A box of cuties (you know what those are right? Little mandarin oranges.. yummy)

3. A fire extinguisher

4. A box of exam gloves for changing poopy daycare diapers :-)

5. A stick (I guess it mades its way in with one of the boys)

P.S. Strike the cinnamon roll from the list. When I went downstairs to see what else was on the counter... well.. it jumped in my mouth.

I'm going with table AND counter, since I don't have much counter space:

1. peaches and cream corn seed.
2. Del Sol fingernail polish that changes colors...my mom got it on a cruise and left it for me this weekend.
3. a broken, trusty curling iron (i was devestated)
4. pink panther sunglasses
5. 3 day old biscuits.

Mondays are clean up days :~)

Okay, I would say the castrating tool wins too, but here goes...ugh, I really need to clean my kitchen before company this weekend! Thanks for the inspiration!;)

1.) several cardboard boxes that need to go to the recycling bin
2.) a few dirty glasses that did not find their way into the dishwasher.
3.) my nephew's broken Easter rabbit that needs the ear glued on.
4.) a plug-it-in smelly thing that I decided against leaving in the outlet anymore when I heard they might start fires, but then apparently never threw away.
5.) receipts that I save but I'm not sure why since I don't really budget like I am supposed to!

1. Left-over wedding cake & wedding mint-making items (flavoring, dye, molds, wax paper, powdered sugar)
2. 6 days worth of mail & Kaylen's school papers (usually there's more than 5 days there - believe it or not, the counter tops were mostly cleaned of papers last Wednesday before I left town)
3. A pedicure kit
4. My left-over lettuce seeds
5. Our portable mini DVD player that we use on long trips in the car
...and much, much more.

Yes, I'm a slob - our kitchen counter is large and is where stuff gets dumped when brought in from the car/garage.
