Wipe Out

I'm going to admit something that I am a bit ashamed of. My husband has hooked my child on a tv show called Wipe Out. Kenson actually calls it "Ipe Out" but I'm impressed he even knows the name. If you haven't seen the show, it's an obstacle course on which normal every day people compete. However, there is lots of water and messes and crashes and booms. Just what every almost 3 year old boy lives for. He sits and watches it, adding the sound effect of "Boom!" when contestants fall. He also likes to play his own version of Wipe Out with his dad using couch cushions. It sounds a lot like "Weady? Weady? Boom!" and is followed by the boy throwing himself at D with only a couch pillow placed as a cushion on D's lap. I'm not sure we should be promoting such unadulterated violence and aggression. But then again, I probably shouldn't let him drink pool water or eat dog food either. (Not that I've allowed any of those things on a regular basis...)

Here's a You Tube clip of Wipe Out, just in case you need some gratitutous slapstick humor.

Update-Kenson woke up the Thursday, asking to watch "Ipe Out" and threw a mini fit when D explained to him that it wasn't on tv today. Hmmm...

We just watched it. Evan loves it, I think it's silly. But he loves it. Just what a 4 year old boy needs, right?!

Too funny that you guys just watched it. I am with you, I think it's way silly and not something I would ever watch normally. Funnily enough, we just got signed up to do a Nielson rating packet so if we watch it next week, I will have to admit to the whole Nielson crew that we are actually tuning in. Yikes!

HA! I guess it's not silly to the guy who won $50,000!

Ugh. Poor guy. Guess they ask for it if they try out for the show.
